Agency Managed Application Services Service Offering Definition (SOD)
Agency Managed Application Services Roles and Responsibilities
Service Tier Details
Agency Managed Application Services (AMAS) is a DET managed dedicated server environment that includes hardware and standard software for agencies. The standard software includes the server operating system, server management tools and utilities included in the DET Technical Reference Model.
DET retains full control and responsibility for the acquisition, licensing, installation, configuration, administration, maintenance, and management of the server platform and operating system software. The customer agency retains full control and responsibility for the acquisition, licensing, installation, configuration, administration, maintenance and support of the applications and web services which are installed on the DET AMAS servers. The agency must also subscribe to the LAN, Storage, Backup & Restore, Standard Monitoring, Directory and Enterprise Service Desk DET services. Agencies may choose to have enhanced monitoring at additional cost.
DET will follow established Service Request and Change Management procedures for the resources that DET controls (e.g., Servers, Operating Systems, Security patches, Monitoring, etc.). For Agency managed resources (e.g. applications), it will be necessary for each participating agency to follow the established Service Request and Change Management procedures. The agency will engage the Enterprise Service Desk to facilitate the opening of service requests and “special notice” changes to notify DET, in advance, of planned resource modifications. The Service Tier will define the DET level of service for availability, support, maintenance and recovery of the server.
