Service Description
This service provides security solutions to monitor and protect agencies from email threats and risks. The service scans email for spam, viruses, and other threats, and prevents delivery if an issue is discovered.
In addition to these services, filters may be created to determine if incoming/outgoing messages contain sensitive information that requires encryption. More information regarding this can be found in the Email Encryption Service Offering Definition and Roles and Responsibilities.
Benefits
The Email Anti-Spam/Anti-Virus offering provides protection from malicious content, phishing campaigns, and other email threats. Preventing this content from reaching the email system improves performance at the email server by reducing the number of incoming messages and by limiting the amount of non-business email that reaches employees.
