Mainframe Output Distribution/Archiving (formerly Online Report Distribution) is a Division of Enterprise Technology (DET) managed service that takes data which would usually be printed and reroutes it to be stored and accessed electronically. This service stores and archives reports on the mainframe, making them available for web viewing. Data is securely stored and made available for any period established by the client. Mainframe Output Distribution/Archiving is a cost-effective alternative to printing, distributing, and storing paper-based reports. It is available throughout the enterprise.

Included in the service:

  • Secure, shared remote access, restricted to authorized users, established by the designated client account administrator
  • Automated report retention management
  • Auditing
  • 24x7 technical support for production systems
  • Installation and maintenance of infrastructure components including:
                Operating system
                Software patches
                Product upgrades
                Security fixes


A one-time charge for report creation is based on a rate per 1,000 lines of report content. Please see the DET Rate Sheet listing for Online Report Distribution (Control-D) for complete rate information.
