Service Description

Enterprise email provides State agencies with a centrally managed, enterprise-wide messaging system. In addition to email and calendar functions, the enterprise email system provides anti-spam and anti-virus protection, file-sharing services, outbound faxing, and the ability to send encrypted email. This service offers a variety of mailbox sizes designed to meet the diverse business needs of State agencies and their employees. 

Components of this system include:

  • Operating system

  • Storage hardware

  • Server hardware

  • Email software and support

Agency technical support staff provides support for the client-based email component.


The Enterprise email service enables the State of Wisconsin to reduce the overall cost of providing email to the State Enterprise while also providing high-quality service to all customers, taking advantage of the economies of scale, streamlining processes, and providing services more efficiently.

Enterprise email offers a variety of mailbox sizes designed to meet the diverse business needs of government agencies and their employees. The goal is to support the current email and calendar needs of the agencies while considering cost, performance, and business requirements.
