Wireless Data Coverage

Wireless data speed varies by contractor and area served. NO contractor provides high speed data throughout the state. Coverage maps are an approximation of vendor data coverage. Actual coverage/speed may vary. Service may be limited or interrupted due to distance from towers, topography, being indoors, environmental changes, customer equipment, network limitations, etc.

Networks are backward/forward compatible, meaning who normally experience EVDO, HSPA, and LTE speeds may temporarily revert to CMDA and EDGE speeds when in an area served only by CMDA or EDGE.

The speeds below are average. Peak rates can be higher, but are not listed because they vary due to real world network conditions (weather, topography, in/out of building, etc).

AT&T Mobility:

  • Provides HSPA+, HSPA, and EDGE coverage, depending on the area served.
  • Average speed for EDGE is 70-135 kbps.
  • Average speed for HSPA is 1.0 to 2.0 mbps (download) and 300 to 600 kbps (upload).
  • Average speed for HSPA+ is 2.5 mbps to 8 mbps (download) and 800 kbps to 1.5 mbps (upload).

US Cellular:

  • Provides 4G LTE, EVDO RevA, and CMDA 1x coverage, depending on the area served.
  • Average speed for CMDA 1x is 40 to 80 kbps.
  • Average speed for EVDO Rev A is 500 to 1,000 kbps (download) and 300 to 400 kbps (upload).
  • Average speed for 4G LTE is 4 to 10 mbps (download) and 3 to 6 mbps (upload).
  • Click here for their data coverage map. Once there, click on the Data Coverage tab, enter location information and press Find.

T-Mobile:

  • Provides LTE, HSPA+, HSPA, and EDGE coverage, depending on the area served.

  • Average speed for EDGE is 100 Kbps (download) to 195 Kbps (upload).

  • Average speed for HSPA is 1.0 to 3.0 Mbps (download) and 500 to 800 kbps (upload).

  • Average speed for HSPA+ is 4 Mbps to 8 Mbps (download) and 1 Mbps to 2.5 Mbps (upload).

  • Average speed for LTE is 20 Mbps to 35 Mbps (download) and 5 Mbps to 10 Mbps (upload).
