2021 Government Experience Project Awards
The State of Wisconsin was the state government experience award winner for Wisconsin DOA – Department of Transportation MV1 Web Application. The Center for Digital Government award recognizes the achievements and best practices of states, cities and counties that have gone to the web and beyond to radically improve the experience of government and push the boundaries of how citizen services are delivered.
Wisconsin maintained its high score of an A- in the newest 2020 Digital States Survey! Under the Digital States criteria, Wisconsin reflects a state that demonstrated very strong innovation, high performing solutions with verifiable impacts across all categories. Excellent practices have been applied in all aspects of their operations, governance and administration. Wisconsin is recognized as the Top State in Transportation and Motor Vehicles, which recognizes the technology support for these business processes.
Golden Gov: State Executive of the Year 2019 - David Cagigal
StateScoop 50 Awards recognizes innovative IT leaders and programs. In 2019, David Cagigal, State of Wisconsin CIO, was awarded the State Executive of the Year.
The State of Wisconsin was the winner of the
2018 Sustainability Innovation Award. This award was presented to organizations who embrace environmental initiatives as a central part of their business and leverage technology to support those efforts. These award-winning organizations are using many different Oracle products to take an environmental lead as well as to reduce costs and improve business efficiencies using green business practices.
Wisconsin maintained its high score of an A- in the newest 2018 Digital States Survey! Wisconsin was one of only 13 states that achieved an overall grade of A or A- in the 2018 survey. The Digital States Survey evaluates states based on a set of criteria that included actions supporting state priorities and policies to improve operations or services, hard- and soft-dollar savings/benefits, progress since the last survey, innovative and citizen-centric services, and effective collaboration.
The State of Wisconsin was the proud recipient of the 2017 National Association of State Chief Information Officer' (NASCIO) State IT Recognition Award in the category of
Enterprise IT Management Initiatives: State of Wisconsin, Star Project, The Blueprint for Efficient State Government.

The Center for Digital Government award recognizes the achievements and best practices of states, cities and counties that have gone to the web and beyond to radically improve the experience of government and push the boundaries of how citizen services are delivered.
Wisconsin has scored an
A- on the 2016 Digital States Survey! This is a great improvement from our 2014 result of a B.
More specifically, Wisconsin scored 1st in Adaptive Leadership, 2nd in Finance and Administration, and 4th in Enterprise ICT.
The Digital States Survey evaluates states’ use of technology to improve service delivery, increase capacity, streamline operations and reach policy goals and assigns each state a grade based on quantifiable results.
The NASCIO State IT Recognition Awards honor innovation and excellence in the use of information technology in state government. DET submitted a proposal for these awards, and was selected as a finalist in the State CIO Office Special Recognition Category for our eGovernment program. You can read the proposal

2015 Horizon Interactive Awards Websites-Government Agency category.
2015 Communicator Awards - Award of Distinction - Project:
Communicator Awards recognizes work that exceeds innovation in marketing and communications. The Award of Distinction is presented for projects that transcend industry standards in quality and achievement.
2015 Summit International Awards - Summit Emerging Media Award - Project:
Wisconsin.gov won the 2015 Summit Emerging Media Award (through SIA), which evolved through a need to recognize and celebrate creativity, innovation, and those who push the bounds of creative excellence in all forms of emerging media.
